New parking garage opens at Cteam Campus
Things are continuing to move forward at the Cteam Campus in Ummendorf: With the new multi-story parking garage, another key milestone of the campus has been completed. A total of 143 additional parking spaces will be available there in the future—and the plans have already taken the future of electric mobility into account as well. In the video, Fleet Manager Tim introduces the new parking garage and explains the role the additional charging infrastructure plays in the ongoing development of the Cteam fleet.
The need for additional parking spaces is growing alongside the campus. A total of 195 new workstations are being created at Cteam. At the same time, training sessions for internal and external participants will be held in the new academy in the future. Accordingly, more people will be on the premises every day.
143 parking spaces – 50 of them already equipped with charging points
The new parking garage offers a total of 143 parking spaces. 50 of these are already equipped with a charging station for electric vehicles.
However, the charging infrastructure is not yet fully maxed out: Every single parking space has already been prepared so that an additional charging station can be retrofitted in the future if required. This allows the infrastructure to be adapted step by step to the further development of electromobility at Cteam.
Electromobility in the vehicle fleet
Mobility plays a special role at Cteam. The vehicle fleet comprises nearly 1,300 vehicles, including around 400 passenger cars. Of these, about 60 are currently electrified – and this share is set to rise further in the future.
The demands placed on the vehicles are quite specific. Employees sometimes cover distances of around 800 kilometers in one go and also travel to locations where adequate charging infrastructure is not always available.
However, developments in recent years are making electric vehicles increasingly attractive for such use cases as well. Greater ranges, shorter charging times, and a steadily growing public charging infrastructure ensure that more and more models are becoming practical for Cteam's requirements.
Infrastructure that can grow
With the 50 charging points already installed and the pre-wiring of all other parking spaces, the new parking garage is therefore not only a response to current parking needs on campus. At the same time, Cteam is creating the conditions to further electrify its own vehicle fleet in the coming years.
With the opening of the parking garage, another visible part of the Cteam Campus has been completed – and the development of the site continues.
