Why this campus is more than just a new building – Insights from the Executive Board
On November 18, 2025, the official starting signal was given for one of the most significant projects in Cteam’s history: the groundbreaking for the new Cteam Campus. The event marks not only the start of the construction phase, but also symbolizes growth, further development, and the company’s consistent focus on the future. And we filmed short interviews with the board members, who talk about how the project came about, the background behind it, and its significance:
Helmut Locher emphasizes the significance of this moment: “I am very pleased that things are getting underway after almost two years of planning and project development.” What was prepared for a long time is now finally becoming reality – the campus is becoming visible and tangible.
For him, the campus stands above all for bringing people together: Fitters, planners and project managers are to work more closely together here. “They meet here […] hopefully not just once, but more often.”
It is not just about buildings, but about the future: The campus creates optimal conditions for training, exchange and further development within the company.
What is especially important to Locher is the step from idea to implementation: “[…] that it is now really taking shape in concrete, wood, stone […]”.
Jochen Spitz looks back on the creation of the campus: The origin of the idea goes back to 2018, when the idea of a central training and professional development center first emerged. As the company grew, this gradually became more and more—up to the vision of an entire Cteam Campus.
An idea became a strategic step: “We want to be all under one roof with all trades.” The campus thus combines not only further training, but the entire company in one place.
The focus is always on people: “People are at the center.” For Spitz, it is clear: Cteam's success is based on the employees—and this is exactly who this place is being created for.
The campus is more than just a building: It is a statement of growth, self-understanding, and appreciation of daily work. “[…] a statement that […] reflects our self-worth […]”
Hubert Deutsch emphasizes the emotional significance of the campus: The new site is intended above all to become a place of encounter. “[…] where people simply seek contact with one another and find contact.”
He sees the project as more than just an investment: It is a strong signal to the entire workforce – and a moment that inspires pride. “[…] the group has earned this, all the employees have earned this.”
The campus has an impact far beyond the site: It represents the entire Cteam Group – also internationally, across national borders.
Practical relevance in training is especially important: In addition to training inside the building, realistic training sessions are also to take place outdoors. “[…] convey a realistic picture.”
The goal is to give employees the right tools from the very beginning: Skills are to be taught in a practical way – like a “toolbox” that everyone can take with them.
